22 Rust monuments have a recycler (29 recyclers total). Monument recyclers give 50% back, or 60% when the Power Plant is powered; safe-zone recyclers (Outpost, Bandit Camp) give 40% at 8s.

Official (vanilla) servers. Some community servers add recyclers with a server setting.
Current since the Power Trip update (August 6, 2026): monument recyclers dropped to 50% unless the Power Plant is powered. Before that they were a flat 60% / 5s.
* Status varies by wipe/source, verify in-game.
Scrap returned per item. Monument = powered monument recycler (60%), Safe = safe-zone recycler (40%). Unpowered monument recyclers (50%) return less. Items also return the listed metal fragments / HQM.
No. Neither the Small nor Large Fishing Village has a recycler in vanilla Rust; only modded servers add one. They are safe zones, but for recycling head to Outpost or Bandit Camp instead.
Outpost has 3 recyclers. It's a safe zone, so they run at the 40% yield / 8-second tier: slower and less efficient than monument recyclers, but no risk of being killed while you recycle.
No. Ranch is a newer farming monument with no vanilla recycler. Only modded servers may add one.
No. The Large Barn (Stables) has no recycler on official servers. Some community servers turn one on with a server setting, which is why some players have seen one.
No. Apartment Complex has no recycler. It is a common misconception; head to a monument from the list above instead.
The red recycler at the Power Plant, at 75%, but it only runs when the Power Plant is at maximum power. Normal monument recyclers give 50%, or 60% when the Power Plant supplies enough power, at 5 seconds per cycle (4.5 at maximum power). Safe-zone recyclers (Outpost, Bandit Camp) give 40% at 8 seconds: safer, but slower and lower. Source: Facepunch's Power Trip update, August 2026.
A Rifle Body recycles into 31 scrap plus 20 high quality metal at a monument recycler, or 20 scrap at a safe-zone recycler.
